Before his diagnosis, Alex was living the life of a normal 22 year-old. He was an active member of the New Hampshire National Guard for almost 3 years, and worked as an information technology specialist. He spends one weekend a month and two weeks every year volunteering his time with the National Guard, but because Alex now lives with an ICD device (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator), he is no longer able to serve his country. Also unable to work as a result of his heart condition, Alex has limited income to assist with his out-of-pocket medical expenses related to his medical condition.
Family and friends of Alex are working very hard to raise money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. These expenses include large deductibles and co-pays, medical appointments, health insurance premiums, travel fees, lodging costs, and more. Alex will also be required to take costly post-transplant, anti-rejection medications for the rest of his life.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Alex’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Northeast Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Alex thanks you ahead of time for your generosity, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time in his life. Your contribution counts, no matter how big or small.
Gratefully,
Alex’s family, friends and community
