Brenda Pfeifer is a 54 year old mother and grandmother who has been struggling with diabetes for more than 24 years. Brenda now is in renal failure and has been doing dialysis for the past three years. Dialysis is keeping her alive as she waits for a life-saving kidney transplant, but has greatly impacted Brenda’s life. She has not been able to enjoy the full quality of life as dialysis makes her very tired and sometimes very physically ill. She has had to miss out on many things with her grandchildren because of this.

Even with Medicare coverage there are still extra out of pocket expenses such as co-pays and deductibles, travel expenses, caregiver expenses and the costly immunosuppressant medications that Brenda will have to take for the rest of her life. Our family needs your help because raising this money is not something our family can do alone.

To help with the financial burden of Brenda’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the North-Central Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution by clicking Donate Now and give our family hope for the future.
