Darrel’s loving and supportive family are committed to seeing him through his liver transplant at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. His two beautiful daughters and three grandchildren are both his pride and joy. Darrell’s youngest grandchild has Downs Syndrome, and Darrel has a very special bond with him and enjoys helping with his care. Darrel is selfless and rarely asks for anything ever. He has always been self-sufficient and a true giver. Now it is time to reach out and help Darrel, and help see him through his upcoming liver transplant.
Transplants are lifesaving, but the costs are monumental — much more than Darrel can handle alone. Co-pays and deductibles, health insurance premiums, medical appointments, travel fees, and caretaker expenses continue to add up. Darrel will also be required to take costly post-transplant medications that help fight organ rejection. These expenses can cost upwards of $3000/month.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Darrel’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Liver Transplant Fund and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you ahead of time for your gracious and generous donation. Any donation amount, no matter how big or small, is truly a gift of life for Darrel.
Gratefully,
Darrel’s loving family, friends and community
