My wife, Joyce Dille Waddoups has been suffering from COPD for the past eight years and her doctors at Tampa General Hospital have told us that she is in need of a life–saving double lung transplant.
Joyce is a loving wife, the caring mother of our daughters Stacey Hunter and BJ Nelson and favorite grandma of 5 wonderful grandchildren. She is a sister, aunt and good friend to many. Joyce was raised in Huntington West Virginia, graduating Cornwall High School. Due to her declining health, she is no longer able to work or do many things she was always able to do. She is on oxygen 24/7 and looks forward to be able to take care of her grandchildren and become an active member of the community as soon as possible.
As you can imagine, the costs of a transplant are enormous and even with insurance, there are many expenses that must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, lab fees and she will be on a life-time of very expensive anti-rejection medications. In addition, due to my own disability, Joyce’s sister Kim will be coming to stay with us to be her required full time caregiver once she has been transplanted. Our family is now up against a challenge that we cannot meet alone and need your help and support.
A fundraising campaign in Joyce’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. On behalf of Joyce, our children and grandchildren and myself, thank you for your kindness, generosity, support and prayers. God Bless for your consideration.

My name is Joyce Waddoups. I was born on March 30, 1946 in Huntington, WV. I graduated from Cornwall High School in Cornwall, Pa in 1964. My maiden name is Joyce Dille. I need financial support so that I can have a double lung transplant. I am currently retired, and live on a fixed income. I have two beautiful daughters, Stacey and BJ. I also have 5 wonderful grandchildren. My husband's name is Larry Waddoups. He is retired and handicapped. I am pre-surgery, and I am completing the requirements for transplant. One of the requirements is raising funds for the transplant. All funds donated will go toward my copayment and necessary medications for the transplant. Thank you and God Bless you for your consideration.
Keeping you in my prayers for a quick campaign and Divine Intervention!
