Even with health insurance, Kristine is facing mounting out-of-pocket expenses related to her injuries. She requires continued rehabilitation, and her health insurance has limited inpatient coverage of 100 days. Kristine has exhausted this benefit, and she is now responsible for the full cost of therapy on her own. She is also facing caregiver fees, and will need extensive home health care, continued outpatient rehabilitation therapy, and possible home modifications once she is able to come home. Now that Kristine is no longer employed, she has depleted her savings and is required to pay the COBRA premium to continue with insurance coverage.
To help offset such expenses and to maintain her medical coverage, a fundraising campaign in Kristine’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southwest Traumatic Brain Injury Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only. If you wish to make a donation or an end-of-year tax-deductible contribution, please call 800.642.8399 or for credit card donations, please click the yellow DONATE NOW button.
Thank you ahead of time for your generosity, prayers and support during this extremely difficult time for Kristine. Any donation amount, no matter how big or how small, is one step closer to a better life.
Gratefully,
Lynn Grassano, Kristine’s loving sister-in-law

Dear Friends,
I am overjoyed to report that Kristine will be coming home soon! She has made a miraculous recovery at CNS in Bakersfield! She is talking and communicating very well. She has recovered her balance and is off and running. She goes to the clinic early each day to get in some time spinning on the exercycle. She is taking phone calls, and visits from friends. We are so excited for her homecoming in April.
Thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and support during this difficult time.
