Martha Verduzco is a 34 year old young lady with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Her kidneys are not working properly and she goes to a DaVita Dialysis facility three times a week for her treatment. There have been many obstacles in her life but she is not ready to give up. Martha is a strong lady but needs your help to get a life-saving kidney and pancreas transplant.
Martha was born Los Angeles but raised in Lynwood, CA and graduated from Lynwood High School. She went to Cerritos Community College, studied Medical Administration and graduated in 2004. After all the obstacles she has gone through she looks forward for her future and the chance to have a normal life after transplant.
Transplants are life saving and even with insurance, very expensive. This is where your help is very important. There are many expenses not covered by insurance such as travel for testing, caregiver expenses, and the costly immunosuppressant medications that Martha will have to take for the rest of her life. In addition, around the time of transplant, Martha will need to relocate temporarily to live near the hospital for several weeks post-transplant. Martha has faith to overcome another challenge in her life but she needs your support.
To help with the financial burden of Martha’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in Southwest Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution by clicking Donate Now.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and gratitude. Your contribution makes a difference. Please share Martha’s page to help get the word out.
Sincerely,
Mayra Franco, Martha’s best friend
