You may know Jericco (Rico) from high school, were he attended Southwest Dekalb High School or as an alum of Florida A&M University, where he was part of the music department and a member of the ‘Marching 100′. Subsequently, some of you may know him as, ‘Rico the Realtor’, a real estate professional who served many in Tallahassee over a decade ago. Or most recently as a member of The Church of Jacksonville where he attends weekly with his kids, Jahleel, Justice and Jahleen.
Rico’s life was thrown into upheaval when he was diagnosed with stage 5 renal failure back in November of 2014. His condition worsened quickly to the point he has now been diagnosed with end stage kidney disease or (ESRD), end stage renal disease and placed on the waiting list for kidney transplantation with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.
Transplantation, follow-up medications and treatments will become very expensive for Rico in the immediate future. Even with the off-set of insurance, there are co-pays, deductibles, medications and clinic visits; with cost that could top $200,000 easily!
To help with the financial burden of Rico’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
Your financial contribution is critical to the overall success in Rico’s fight for his quality of life. If you know him, you know he’s not one to go around asking for help or even letting it be known that something was ailing him. But now, he needs your help in this fight. Admittedly so, he needs your prayers and financial support. Please know that your contribution counts, no matter the amount. On behalf of Rico and his family, we thank you in advance for your kind consideration, your care and compassion.
All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered byHelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
