Teresa Langley has a serious liver disease, and she desperately needs your help. She was diagnosed with end-stage-liver-disease from a progressive virus, and without a lifesaving liver transplant her time will quickly run out. Over the years, Teresa’s condition has rapidly gotten worse. After undergoing extensive medical testing, Teresa is now actively listed for a liver transplant at Duke University Medical Center. She is waiting patiently for the telephone call that will save her life!

Teresa is a spiritual person with a love for God, and very active in her local church. She prays daily that the Lord will see her through her transplant; giving her the strength and courage to face her upcoming surgery. Teresa is a warm and loving person, and a wonderful mother to her adult son, Brandon. Teresa goes above and beyond to help others in her local community. She takes pride and joy in visiting the elderly; cooking and bringing them meals, keeping them company and most important, checking on her aging friends to make sure they are safe. More than ever, Teresa is looking forward to the day she is healthy, so she can spend more time with her family, friends and serve her community.

A liver transplant will save Teresa’s life, however the costs to fund this procedure are monumental.Teresa is facing very high out-of-pocket medical expenses related to her transplant. These include large co-pays and deductibles, health insurance premiums, doctor and lab fees, medical bills, travel and lodging expenses and more. She will also need to re-locate for over 30 days to be closer to Duke after her transplant. Teresa has been on costly medications for almost two years, and is required to take post-transplant anti-rejection medications that she will need for the rest of her life.
