At just 48 years old, Gloria Patterson needs a liver and kidney transplant. Gloria has suffered from ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic and incurable condition which has kept her in pain most of her life. She tried to live as normal a life as possible, but the UC became very debilitating. Last November, Gloria was hospitalized for several months after a particularly bad flare-up of the disease. On February 12, 2015 she was diagnosed with renal disease and started dialysis the very next day. This is keeping her alive. At this point, Gloria’s doctors have said that her only chance of survival is a double-organ transplant.

Gloria grew up in Mt. Pleasant, NC and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. For over 20 years, she worked for Sally Beauty Supply and loved every minute of it. Gloria hopes that a life-saving transplant will help her regain the quality of life she once had.

Hey Annette!!
Keep your head up and a smile on your face. It is not the doctor's report but God's report. He will make it happen for you!! I have sent this out to my friends and family. Love you
