Jennifer Beebe is a 30-year-old woman who is very ill. Jennifer has been battling lupus nephritis (an autoimmune disease) for over 8 years now and has reached a point where a kidney transplant is needed to prolong her life. Jennifer is one of the kindest, most giving people you’ll ever meet and she needs your help. Expenses associated with the transplant are overwhelming.
Jennifer grew up in the Philippines and graduated high school there. Throughout her childhood she helped her family by working in a small restaurant that they owned. She went on to college in the Philippines and met her husband, Rodney.
After a few years, Jennifer and Rodney wed in 2003 and settled into a life together in Woodland, CA. Jennifer worked as a kitchen assistant at a local convalescent home and took pride in her work providing for the elderly. Six months after having their daughter, Jia, in 2007 Jennifer was diagnosed with lupus. Despite the devastating news of her illness, she refused to let it hold her down. She continued to work until she was physically unable and was put on permanent disability in 2010. Even then, Jennifer channeled that indomitable spirit into serving others by becoming a foster parent. Approximately 30 children have come through Jennifer and Rodney’s home that Jennifer helped until they can be with their biological parents, some of whom she’s remained in contact with to remain a positive influence in their lives. Soon after, it was found that the illness started to affect her kidneys and in March 2015 she started dialysis 3 times a week.
Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Jennifer is facing very high expenses including bringing her brother, a potential living donor, here to the United States. There will be hospital bills, post-transplant medications she will need to take for the rest of her life, co-pays, lab fees and more.
To help with the financial burden of Jennifer’s expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southwest Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please, consider an end-of-year tax deductible contribution.

Thank you for your prayers, support and generosity. Keep an eye on this HelpHOPELive campaign page. We will be planning some fundraising events soon and posting updates regularly.
Gratefully,

Hello, everyone! Sorry it's been so long since the last update. It's been a busy month and a whirlwind as far as the transplant. The great news was that Joseph made it here and was going through the process of testing. However, during the testing it was found that he had high blood pressure. They did a 24 hour monitoring on his blood pressure and it was still abnormally high. That finding basically ruled him out for transplant. This was disappointing news but we know another option will come through soon. We are keeping our faith! Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
GREAT NEWS! Joseph, Jenny's brother, has been approved! We knew God would pull through for us. We just got the news last night and he will receive his visa in 1-2 weeks. After that, we will bring him here and start the process of getting Jenny her new kidney. Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers as it has helped us in this process. A special thank you to Joseph Salas who is the one giving a part of his body so that his sister can live a more normal life. We are truly blessed!
The USCIS received the additional evidence they were looking for today that we sent off. Thank you to Pastor Tito and Kuya Rico for helping me put it all together to have a better chance for approval. We could use all the prayers we can get to have a quick turnaround and approval. Thank you all for the prayers and support you've already given. We'll give another update as soon as we find out anything.
We got a letter from the USCIS! We didn't get a no or a yes yet. They need more information right now. They want to know the relationship between Jenny and her brother, Joseph, so we have to submit his and her birth certificates. Also, we have to prove his nationality and need to submit a copy of Joseph's passport. I have an option to fax so I will fax the papers and send in the mail. Hopefully it will be a quick yes after that.
Hello, everyone! Just wanted to give an update on Jenny's progress with the transplant. Right now, we are still waiting for a decision from the USCIS for Jenny's brother, Joseph's application to come here. I am confident that it will go through eventually, but this application can take 90-120 days. We know God will help us through and Jenny will eventually get her kidney this year. Thank you all, once again, for your support and blessings.
Hello, everyone! We just got another receipt notice from USCIS about Jenny's brother. The letter states that it's still in process and could take 3-4 months to process. We did file to expedite the application but there's no guarantee on it coming faster. At least it's not a no and there's still a chance. Thank you all again for all of your prayers and support!
Dear Family and Friends,
I just had to tell you again how much blessed we are and appreciate all of you for all the help and prayers you gave our family. We reached our goal. This will be incredibly helpful in my future transplant. Your assistance means so much to our family. Right now I am doing good with dialysis while waiting for approval on my brother Joseph application to come here. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts
Love,
Jenny
May your generosity be rewarded a hundredfold.
Thank you for your help from the bottom of our hearts. We will never forget the goodness of your heart. May you be blessed with all the graces you so deserved.Thank you for your help and your kindness will forever be remembered and cherished.
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We had a great Christmas with friends and family. Jenny has been doing well lately, just continuing dialysis. We did just submit a humanitarian parole application with the USCIS for her brother to come here soon. We're praying it will go through. Thank you again to everyone for their kindness and prayers. Have a Happy New Year!
We had another successful fundraising venture at the Annual Filipino Christmas Party on December 19th. Thank you to Ate Sharmy for organizing the making of the gift baskets for raffle and for all of our other friends for their time in putting them together and donating the items for the gift baskets. We also thank the community committee for allowing us to do the raffle for Jenny's cause. With the help of our friends and family we were able to raise over $2500! It's amazing to us how giving everyone has been and we are overwhelmed by the support of the people in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Jenny's brother had his visa interview at the U.S. embassy today and unfortunately was denied for a third time. They finally let him know that he has no chance of obtaining this type of visa. They recommended doing a humanitarian parole (wish they would have told us after the first time). We will be seeing a lawyer next to see what our options are. While waiting for her brothers application and process, I will be doing my testing to be able to give my kidney. I'm not a match, but UC Davis has a kidney swap program that I can do to get Jenny a new kidney. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. We trust that God's will be done! - Rodney
Garage sale went well also. Thank you to everyone that dropped off items to sell at the garage sale. Thank you to our mom Dorothy and all our friends that helped us. We appreciate you all. We raised $900 towards Jenny's transplant. God bless you all.
Thank you to Traci Waldheim and Sandy Ledesma and all our Beamer school family for taking the time to organize the Zumbathon. Thank you also to the Zumba instructors that brought energy to the event and made it fun. The event raised $1000 towards Jenny's kidney transplant. Thank you everyone for your support.
Jenny is doing good and we're ready for the garage sale tomorrow although she will be in dialysis for most of it. Thank you to everyone that donated things to sell. We couldn't do this without the help of our friends. Thank you to those who are also helping to put together a Zumbathon for Jennifer's cause. This all means so much to us!
Thanking Father God for all blessings. Thank you for filling my heart with faith n hope. Showing me everyday that everything is going to be ok . In your Sons Name Jesus Amen. Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Thanks, everyone!
Dialysis went great today for Jen. It was a great week overall. Thank you so much to all that has shared and contributed. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.
Welcome, everyone to Jennifer's site! She had dialysis today and it went well, but has been having low blood pressure during her sessions. Had headaches after as well which are common. Other than that she had a good day. Parent/teacher conferences were today and, as always, Jennifer pushed through and went. So dedicated to her children. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
