Dear Friends, Family and Community,

Our father, Jim Collie is a 59-year-old man who is very ill. He suffers from pulmonary fibrosis and is in end stage liver failure. His doctors at the University of Virginia Medical Center have told us that his only option is a life-saving double lung and liver transplant. Our family is committed to seeing him through this transplant.

Dad is the wonderful father of five, grandfather to nine, brother, uncle, cousin and good friend to many. He is a really funny person, always making everyone laugh. He spent many years managing convenience stores and he also did a lot of work for vault companies and cemeteries. Unfortunately, due to his poor health, he is unable to work and do many things we all take for granted. Once he has received the transplant he looks forward to watching his grandchildren grow up, spending time with family and becoming an active member of the community once again.

Donations and prayers. so far no success in getting the transplants. Any funds not used for transplant can be used for burial . I have no life insurance and do not want to put this on my kids.
