Jared just had ankle surgery on Monday, Dec 7, for ankle contracture associated with his brain injury. It will require total rest for 6 weeks. After that we intend on maximizing therapy to begin the process of relearning to walk. We continue to work on his trunk strength and building the muscles he needs to sit unaided.
Audrey- this story has brought me so much sadness and then happiness. I'm in tears every time I see this. You are just the sweetest most genuine person and I want nothing but happiness and health for you both. You deserve it. I hope Jared heals to the fullest. I can see the love. And it amazes me. You are both an inspiration. Good luck with your journey and please know you are both in my thoughts.
