I am writing to you with regard to my son, Arien Diaz. He is the second oldest of my four sons and at age 7 he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. Both of us had to become educated very quickly on this disease. Over the years, this disease has caused a progressive deterioration in his overall health – he has lost some eyesight, and in 2007, Arien was told by his doctors that he was in end-stage renal failure. His best hope for a long and healthy life is now to undergo a kidney/pancreas transplant.

As a child, Arien loved all kinds of trucks. He wanted to become a firefighter, EMT technician or to join the Army to work on trucks. His dreams were smashed before him when he was told he could have none of these careers due to his diabetes. Life has not been the same since then – his joy has evaporated and it is rare that I see him smile. One day he said “Mom, I think I am going to die.”

Dear Arien, First off I like to say I'm deeply sorry for what you have been going through. You and I have a past full of memories a lot good and some a little bizarre. I can't express how much pain my heart feels to know your going through so much and not being healthy. I like to say on a brighter note you have a beautiful son and he will be ever so proud to have such a good daddy like you in his life. Reading your mother's letter had me in tears, I couldn't imagine the ache in her heart she feels when it comes to you. All I could think of was my son and how I wouldn't know what to do if it were me. I'm truly praying you receive your new organ and medication that you need in order to live your life. You have a forever friend in me even if we dont communicate I will always love you and keep you close to my heart. God Bless You!!

Dearest Arien, My love & prayers are w/you & family...may the strength & the peace of our Lord be w/you all time, know that God hears the "cry" of His people & more so a mother''s "cry",which is the prayers we send to His Throne of Grace & Mercy! I believe this prayer chain is all around the Throne Room of Heaven, for when two or three gather in His Name there''s power & agreement... "be strong & courageous & do not be afraid, for the LORD your God is w/you!!!"...Joshua 1:9 Stay blessed & trusting!!In Christ Jesus,AMEN!! Maria,I love you & my prayers are w/you & family...hope to see you soon,so we''d have a Holy Ghost Party!!! (*.*)

Dear Arien, Wanted to encourage you with the word of God. Genesis 28:15 "What''s more, I am with you, and will protect you wherever you go, and will bring you back safely to this land; I will be with you constantly until i have finished giving you all I am promising." May the god of Abraham, Issac, and Jaoob grant you his protection, peace, perseverance and healing. By faith, we stand in agreement with you and your family to thank him in advance. In Jesus name Amen.
