Michael Cook, a 1978 graduate of George Washington High in Philadelphia, is facing a very difficult time. Michael has Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) and his heart is only functioning at 15 percent. He is currently on the heart transplant list at UPenn and his overall health condition is good, with the exception of his struggling heart. We are hopeful that he will be transplanted soon.
This is devastating news for his family. Thankfully, Michael has a strong support system in place. He and his wife of 33 years, Sue, have four beautiful kids – their youngest is 17 and she is still attending high school. They are also the proud grandparents of six grandchildren. Michael has many sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins that are helping out and lending their support as well.
