Chris received the gift of life – a kidney transplant – on February 7, 2016. He is recovering well, but has a long road ahead of him. Thanks for all your support!

Chris, 29, is a graduate student at Alabama A&M University pursuing a Master’s in Social Work. Chris is a very humble and committed young man in the pursuit of his ambition to become a Licensed Graduate Social Worker with dreams of working in a dialysis clinic and even someday managing his own clinic.

This transplant will save Chris’s life, but it is also financially draining. Even with insurance, Chris is facing very high expenses including, possible relocation to be closer to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Tennessee, post-transplant medication cost of up to $1,200.00 monthly, co-pays, lab fees and much more.
