Christopher Needs Our Support!
Four years ago, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Christopher Reed’s world was forever changed when he became very ill and was diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease), meaning both kidneys had failed. Chris is now completely dependent on 5-hour dialysis treatments three times a week – this is keeping him alive. Chris is in dire need of a kidney transplant in order to return to good health and ultimately pursue his goals of living a normal life in pursuit of the American Dream of a home and family.
Chris, 29, is a graduate student at Alabama A&M University pursuing a Master’s in Social Work. Chris is a very humble and committed young man in the pursuit of his ambition to become a Licensed Graduate Social Worker with dreams of working in a dialysis clinic and even someday managing his own clinic.
This transplant will save Chris’s life, but it is also financially draining. Even with insurance, Chris is facing very high expenses including, possible relocation to be closer to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Tennessee, post-transplant medication cost of up to $1,200.00 monthly, co-pays, lab fees and much more.
To help with the financial burden of Chris’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in Chris’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. To make a tax-deductible donation, click Donate Now.
On behalf of Chris and his family thank you for your prayers, support and generosity. Also, we thank you in advance for your kind consideration. Please know that we appreciate your support!
Gratefully,
Family and Friends of Chris Reed
