Jessica Knutzen is only 27 years-old, and she desperately needs your help. As an infant, Jessica was diagnosed with a serious and often fatal condition, known as Cystic Fibrosis. This disease is often debilitating, and attacks your lungs and other major organs; eventually causing respiratory failure. Jessica has tried many regimens to halt her condition, yet she experienced multi-complication liver damage from years of strong medications. Despite aggressive treatments, her lung function has dropped significantly. She is in desperate need of an IPV Machine, or Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilator. This device provides small bursts of air to loosen and free mucus from airway walls, and will help Jessica breathe. Jessica’s health insurance has denied payment for her IPV device, and without these treatments Jessica will urgently need new lungs, and her time will quickly run out.

Jessica is the proud and loving single mother of a beautiful three year-old daughter, Lexi. Lexi is Jessica’s pride and joy. They love spending time together, but unfortunately Jessica continues to deteriorate, and their days are limited together and could soon run out. Jessica’s lung function is dropping day by day, and she is also fighting a MRSA infection. As she undergoes evaluation for a double lung transplant, she must travel and sometimes reside overnight near the hospital. These stays are very costly and require lodging, gas, meals and transportation expenditures. Presently out of work, Jessica’s out-of-pocket medical expenses are more than she can handle alone. Co-pays and deductibles, medical appointments, health insurance premiums, lab expenses, rehabilitation programs, costly medications, caregiver wages, and clinic visit fees are quickly adding up. Even with Medicare coverage, Jessica is facing up to $20,000 in medical bills alone. She desperately needs your help.

Jessica went to Ku Medical and loves her Dr. It sounds like there both are on the same path heart emoticon. I'm happy that finally someone agrees about her back and her pain and how it has effected her health. I have not met this Dr but from just that, I'm pretty sure we are on the right path. I have been saying since last Oct when they cut into her back Nov she began to decline . So I am excited that finally this Dr agrees with her blessing .......

Jessica,
I know you don't know me well but the little amount of time I was able to talk to you made an impact on my end. I had no idea all of this was going on. I will pray for you to have a life you deserve. You have strength and a love for life most people don't. Please know that I care about you.
