Family rallies for liver failure patient

Jaxson Thompson

“I am just hoping he can get healthy enough to go to school and play with friends, and live as ‘normal’ a life as can be.”

Diagnosed with biliary atresia and cystic fibrosis, Jaxson Thompson had his first surgery when he was just six hours old. Now three years old, the young fighter must take liver medication every 12 months to stay alive. On November 10, he will be evaluated to join the liver transplant waiting list.

The day before on November 9, his family will rally the community for a Poker Run fundraiser to benefit Help Hope Live in Jaxson’s honor.
