Help Hope Live to hold luncheon on July 28, help raise money for “Wheels for Madalyn”

A decorative newsprint graphic.

“Don’t be afraid to reach out to people. People are kind and generous. Their hearts are full of gold.”

The community of 8-year-old Madalyn Shepherd is rallying to fund a critical need: an accessible van. Living with an undiagnosed neurological condition that impacts her health and mobility, Madalyn is growing fast, and a safe vehicle will ensure her access to medical care and the community is uninterrupted.

Not covered by insurance, the van will cost her family $75,000. That’s why they turned to Help Hope Live.

The community has responded to the appeal with “hearts of gold,” participating in fundraisers and spreading the word.

In six months, the community has raised over $63,000 in Madalyn’s honor.
