I would like to give an update on my wife, Connie Jo. She is still in serious need of a Liver transplant and Portal Vein bypass. She really needs your help and prayers.
Connie Jo has suffered from Liver disease for quite some time. Recently her condition has deteriorated to a level where she has, as the transplant surgeon related, no quality of life at all. Connie Jo’s state of confusion brought on by the Portal Vein Thrombosis, has been helped by medicines. These medicines, however, require her to spend her afternoons and evenings at home. The Thrombosis has also caused varices in her esophagus and stomach along with edema and a severely enlarged spleen. Along with the Liver disease, Connie also suffers with Diabetes and Fibromyalgia, which is made worse by the Thrombosis. The Diabetes, with the help of a great endocrinologist, is now controlled.
Connie Jo has always been a source of kindness, love and help to all who know her. She has 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children. She has always been extremely active in her church groups. Her health now limits the amount she is able to help others, but she continues to faithfully attend church as much as she can. She has been a lifelong prayer warrior for others, now she needs your prayers.
Liver transplants are extremely expensive. Not just the surgery itself, but the medication, travel lodging and travel related expense. We are approximately 5 hours away from the hospital where she will receive her transplant. We have very limited personal funding. We really need your donations to help my wife survive.
We are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
We chose Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button. And please consider sharing this link with others so they may donate as well.
Thank you for your support.
