Family and friends of Alfonso Larocca are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Alfonso has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Received the phone call there was a liver around 7 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2022 to head to UF Health in Gainesville for preop preparation. Told at 5 pm liver was good and it was a go and surgery for transplant was at 7 pm. Came out of surgery at 2 a.m. - 7 hour surgery. Around 7 a.m. blood flow was not good and sent back into surgery for another 2 hours. I am currently in ICU and all my vitals are good and liver is functioning and no body rejection. Today, Monday, October 24 2022 between 4 and 5 pm I will return to surgery for all to be permanently placed and closed up. I could not be any happier to have a renew on life!
