Family and friends of Heather James are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.

Heather learned she had breast cancer (ER/PR+, HER2-) on May 10, 2024. After weeks of follow up testing, scans, and consultations, a plan for treatment is coming together. Heather will undergo surgery to remove the tumor, and then two weeks later will have a follow up surgery for reconstruction. Surgery will be followed by radiation, or possibly chemo / radiation depending on the pathology of the removed tissue.
Heather is deeply grateful to her community for the tangible ways they are surrounding her with love and assistance at this time.
