Help Raven Breathe!

As many of you may know, Raven’s health has taken a turn for the worse as a result of her diagnosis of Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF). PF is a life-threatening disease which causes the lungs to deteriorate; there is NO CURE for PF and a lung transplant is Raven’s only option for a healthy life. She is now listed on the active transplant waiting list at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

After 8 years of battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Raven has received a double lung transplant at Barnes Jewish Hospital on July 30, 2021. Raven is now 6 months post transplant. As she adjust to her new life she continues to travel back and forth to St.Louis for annual check ups.

I hate to see you going through this but I love to see you smiling regardless. I don't think I've ever seen you without a smile and that's the best way to live. I remember seeing you walk around school full of energy and a passion to learn. Keep pushing forward and keeping God first. Everything will work in your favor. Hey Raven this is Malik Robinson from Freshman year at Hogan. I know you might not remember me sweetheart, but trust me I remember you, and the reason is because you stuck out from any other person in the entire school. Your unique personality and smile that lights up any room, it hurt my heart when I found out your situation Raven and I want to give you my love, support and prayers. Now I'm in the navy in fact I leave next Thursday the 13th but I want you to have my number so that you can call for anything, prayer encouraging words just knw your not in this alone. I'm here for you and that will remain...
