Despite the challenges of the current global health care crisis, organizations and businesses are going above and beyond by finding creative ways to institute COVID-19 relief programs and coronavirus financial help. Together, the for-profit and nonprofit sectors unite with a collective goal of responding to all who are directly and profoundly affected during this time.

Angel MedFlight provides comprehensive worldwide air ambulance service transferring critically ill or injured patients from around the world, offering specialized care.

In light of COVID-19, Angel MedFlight is committed to maintaining the same medical mission 24/7, while adhering to all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations and ensuring that all personal protective measures are in place before and during flights.

2. AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

The American Heart Association (AHA) serves as a premier organization to offer support, education, and resources regarding heart disease and prevention efforts. Committed to providing science-based data and materials, AHA created a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Page to answer questions, offer self-care tips and techniques, and provide updated educational information.

Staff members are available by telephone and live chat to provide real-time assistance.

3. AMERICAN KIDNEY FUND

The American Kidney Fund (AKF) serves as an impressive source of financial aid, health education, and community referrals for renal patients, living kidney donors, and medical professionals.

To address the many new challenges faced by those living with kidney disease, they created a dedicated Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources page. AKF also generously responded by instituting a program to distribute $250 grants to eligible dialysis and transplant patients through a Coronavirus Emergency Fund.

4. CANCERCARE

CancerCare serves as a beacon of hope by offering comprehensive professional support, health education, financial assistance, and resources for cancer patients and their families.

As a commitment of their responsive care, an extensive list of COVID-19 Resources is available on their website. Financial Assistance for COVID-19 is also now possible for eligible patients in active treatment who are seeking emergency aid with living expenses and care needs. 5. GARY SINISE FOUNDATION

The Gary Sinise Foundation has made a profound impact on the lives of veterans, service members, first responders, and their families through the provision of direct assistance, community-building, and resource connections.

The Foundation launched the Emergency COVID-19 Combat Service campaign to address the essential needs of their constituents who are impacted by COVID-19. Through this initiative, they have made an immediate and significant contribution with personal protective equipment grants for departments facing dire shortages. Direct COVID-19 relief – to assist with grocery expenses, utility bill assistance, housing costs -is also available for eligible individuals who are urgently impacted.

6. LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) serves as a leading organization in providing cancer research funding, advocacy efforts, and support services for blood cancer patients and their supporters.

In response to this public health crisis, LLS launched a new section of their website: Coronavirus: Resources and What You Should Know. This page provides relevant literature, blog postings, and webcast links. A newly created LLS COVID-19 Patient Financial Aid Program is open to provide $250 stipends for eligible blood cancer patients struggling with everyday expenses during this pandemic (e.g., living expenses, food costs, utility bills).

Adding to their listing of online chat groups, LLS now offers a related weekly forum: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Chat – Banding Together: Feeling Good Fridays (pre-registration is required).

7. NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION

For decades, NKF has served as a firm foundation of education, advocacy, information and resources for kidney patients, families, caregivers, and medical professionals.

Committed to empowering and educating our communities, the NKF created a dedicated COVID-19 Information Page containing expansive resources for individuals living with renal disease during the coronavirus crisis.

8. PAN FOUNDATION

To address the health care challenges facing so many Americans due to COVID-19, the PAN Foundation (Patient Access Network) provides grant assistance (for prescription, travel, and insurance premiums) to eligible patients within a wide scope of disease-based funds.

As an expansion of their efforts, PAN created the COVID-19 Treatment and Prevention Fund to help individuals diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, or those under the direction to self-quarantine. For eligible applicants, $300 pre-paid debit cards can assist with treatment expenses, pharmaceutical expenses, medical equipment and supplies, groceries, and meal delivery services.

9. PATIENT ADVOCATE FOUNDATION

The Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) offers financial relief programs, case management, insurance guidance, and vast resources for patients with chronic, life-threatening, and debilitating diseases and health conditions.

PAF created a COVID Care Resource Center to provide urgently-needed education, support, and referrals for those impacted during this pandemic. Dedicated case managers are readily available for consultation by telephone or an online intake process. To offer direct coronavirus financial help, PAF instituted a COVID Care Recovery Fund to aid with cost-of-living expenses.

10. UNITED SPINAL ASSOCIATION

United Spinal Association works to empower those living with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D) through peer support and mentoring, advocacy and legislative efforts, and extensive educational information. They created a disability specific COVID-19 Support Page including customized content and targeted resources.

In partnership with the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation and other supporters, the United Spinal Association also instituted a COVID-19 Relief Grant for individuals with spinal cord injury/disease who are experiencing financial difficulty due to circumstances related to COVID-19

COVID-19 Fundraising Campaigns

We are proud to share that our organization is also responding to serve those most in need.
