As part of our celebration of Hope Travels, we’ll be gifting a customized adaptive bike to a local child with disabilities.
Khuwaylid Seeney of Aston, PA is living with cerebral palsy resulting from hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy at birth. Now 8 years old, Khuwaylid attends HMS in Philadelphia and has a twin brother, an older sister, and a younger sister—and he loves staying active and keeping up with him.
“While my son is not independently mobile, I like to think he is still very active. He loves anything that gives him movement in his legs in particular,” explained Khuwaylid’s mom.
“This bike will give him that input to his legs that he absolutely loves while also giving him inclusion to just be a kid and ride his bike with his siblings.”
This adaptive bike giveaway was made possible by generous support from the Esther and Pedro Rosenblatt Foundation.
