Free Movie Screening on August 5 in Philadelphia

Join members of the Help Hope Live team next Tuesday for a free screening of the Emmy-nominated documentary “Patrice: The Movie,” followed by a live panel discussion with Patrice and her partner, Garry, at the Inglis Innovation Center in Philly.

About the Documentary

Living with multiple disabilities, Patrice Jetter of Hamilton, NJ, navigates life, love, advocacy, marriage inequality, and fundraising with the support of her community. The documentary shows Patrice’s adult life alongside formative moments from her childhood, portrayed by Patrice and young actors with disabilities.

This unique, genuine, and eye-opening “romantic comedy” documentary has a 1 hour 42 minute runtime and is not rated.

While the movie has a hopeful and resilient theme, content warnings include depictions of ableism, bullying, childhood and family hardship, institutionalization, grief, anger, and sadness.
