Pat Frame
“This was a direct reflection of a new, businesslike approach to health care. Patient were patients…and then they were clients.”
Pat Frame was a registered nurse for three decades. Over her career, she witnessed a shift from respectful, cost-conscious billing and provider engagements (including free care for nurses like her) to a businesslike and financially debilitating new system.
Today, Pat is personally affected by the fallout. Unable to continue her career, she is dealing with the massive financial burden of a kidney transplant and progressive vision loss.
She still believes in the power of looking at the positive. Her new book is titled, “Everything Broken Will Be Understood.”
