San Diego sisters seek community support for life-changing adaptive bicycle

Ashley Nicole Keen

“She’s very loving. She shows appreciation for everything that I do for her.”

Born with cerebral palsy, 24-year-old Ashley Keen is cared for by her sister, Tiffany.

Ashley loves to be outside and to jam to her favorite music. While she uses a wheelchair for day-to-day mobility, Tiffany says her sister is also capable of standing and has taken a few steps.

One key piece of medical equipment would make future mobility more achievable for Ashley: an accessible bike.

A customized accessible bike is not covered by insurance even though it could drastically improve Ashley’s life. That’s why Tiffany began fundraising with Help Hope Live.
