18-year-old Jonathan Liang is living with a rare, life-changing diagnosis: surfer’s myelopathy.

The rare spinal condition took place after Jonathan’s first-ever surfing experience. There are fewer than 80 cases worldwide.

Now living with paralysis from the waist down, Jonathan and his family are fundraising with Help Hope Live for the critical expenses insurance won’t cover, including home renovations for accessibility, an accessible van, and ongoing rehabilitation.

$122,000 has been raised for Help Hope Live in Jonathan’s honor so far.
