We look forward to gifting a customized Flyers-themed adaptive bike to our client Angelo Murphy at the 2026 Flyers Alumni Charity Weekend Golf Classic on Monday, June 15, 2026.
“Despite the obstacles he faces, Angelo is just like any other child.”
Seven-year-old Angelo “has been a fighter since day one,” living with multiple complex medical diagnoses, including cerebral palsy and bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
Angelo uses a wheelchair for mobility. While he is nonverbal, “he has an amazing ability to communicate joy, love, and personality without words.”
Angelo’s family began fundraising with Help Hope Live in 2025 to help make a full and mobile life possible for him, including specialized equipment, adaptive assistance, and ongoing therapies insurance doesn’t fully cover.
“As Angelo grows, so do his needs, and having the flexibility to meet those needs when they arise makes a meaningful difference.”
For kids like Angelo, fresh air, outdoor play, and time with the community can be harder to access in a safe and accessible way.
Adaptive bikes can be game-changers, but the cost of a customized bike can be out of reach for families since they are typically not covered by insurance despite their proven benefits.
That’s why we’re so grateful to the Flyers Alumni Association for the opportunity to gift an adaptive bike to Angelo and family.
“It will help him improve his leg strength and allow him to use his legs more.”
We are so grateful to the Flyers Alumni Association for making it possible for us to bring joy, motion, and hope within reach for local kids and young adults living with life-changing disabilities.
Thanks to the Flyers Alumni Association, together, we can bring a vision to life: Every Child Deserves a Bike.
Together, we’ve already brought more joy and motion into the lives of dozens of local kids and young adults.
Donate to this special program, learn why this exceptional partnership with the Flyers Alumni Association began, and see the joy for yourself as you read the stories of local families who have received beautiful adaptive bikes of their own:
