‘She can be like other kids’: South Jersey girl surprised with special bike

A decorative newsprint graphic. 9-year-old Raelynn expresses her excitement about her new bike into a FOX 29 microphone held by a reporter off-screen. Raelynn has light skin and red hair and wears a black and orange Flyers jersey.

“She sat on the sidelines, watching other kids ride their bikes. Not anymore.”

A beautifully customized and fully adaptive bike was delivered to nine-year-old New Jersey resident Raelynn, who is living with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, this month in our 20th adaptive bike giveaway.

We thank our friends at FOX 29 in Philadelphia for taking the time to shed light on Raelynn’s story, her ongoing fundraising efforts with Help Hope Live, and her special moment receiving a bike she can ride on her own.

“It’s amazing that someone would give her this and grant her this wish.”
