Cynthia’s Story

55-year-old Cynthia Becvar of Willow Spring underwent brain surgery in 2023 and contracted meningitis. While being treated, Cynthia’s doctors found a life-threatening liver issue. She now needs a liver transplant to survive.

The loving mom of Andrew, 25, and Lauren, 27, is forced to fundraise to help cover the out-of-pocket costs of a liver transplant: Cynthia will need to cover two to three months of temporary relocation to be near her transplant center in Pittsburgh—a cost insurance does not cover.

“The emotional and physical toll of this journey is immense, but the financial burden is equally overwhelming,” explained her family. “Cynthia has so much more life to live and love to give. She has always been the first to offer a helping hand…now, it’s our turn to be there for her.”
