We’re grateful to Melanie Gulbas and the News 12 Long Island team for sharing the story of the Plainview community rallying annually and year-round to support Help Hope Live in honor of Rebecca Koltun.
The 5th Rally for Rebecca 5K Run-Walk-Roll took place on May 23. As News 12 reported, 800-plus people gathered to show their support.
The community’s generosity has raised over $1 million in Rebecca’s honor for Help Hope Live since her 2021 skiing accident, which caused paralysis from the neck down.
“I never imagined that this many people would rally around me and help me emotionally and financially. It really shows how there is such a wonderful community around us.”
