Our Experiences at the Reeve Summit 2025

“The Reeve Summit always allows us to come together in such a meaningful way with members of the SCI community.”

The Reeve Summit is a can’t-miss event on our calendars. This industry-leading event for the paralysis community invites individuals, family members, caregivers, policymakers, and organizations like Help Hope Live to come together to learn, grow, network, and uplift one another.

We were excited to make our way to Denver (a first for the Reeve Summit!) March 10-12, 2025, for an action-packed Reeve Summit program.

Who We Met at the Reeve Summit 2025

We made so many meaningful connections at this year’s Reeve Summit—here are just a few standouts.

Arash Bayatmakou has been a Help Hope Live client for more than 10 years following a spinal cord injury in 2012. The entrepreneur, athlete, and speaker has been the Executive Director of NorCal SCI since May 2023. Explained Sonny:

“Arash stopped by specifically to share how much Help Hope Live had played a positive role in his life.”

Arash’s trajectory is a powerful reminder to newly injured individuals and their families that life goes on after a spinal cord injury. In addition to his professional pursuits, he is an adventurous traveler, cook, outdoors-lover, and father of two.

We were also able to connect with our friends at the Chanda Center for Health, an organization that provides advocacy and education around integrative therapy and other services that enhance independent living and community connection. Chanda spoke about her own history and the inspiration behind her organization’s founding.

We loved linking up with Jen French, founder and Executive Director of the Neurotech Network, who received the 2024 Craig H Neilson Visionary Prize for her SCI community contributions.

Alan Brown, Director of New Partnership Engagement for the Reeve Foundation, was a Reeve Summit connection with deep ties to Help Hope Live: he referred family friends to Help Hope Live to start a campaign in honor of Ernest Patti following Ernest’s 2020 spinal cord injury.

As always, the Reeve Summit left us with new resources and a lot of hope. As Sonny recapped:

“The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Let’s Move Mountains,’ and after our time in Denver, I believe we will be able to.”
