Each year in April, transplant families across the country come together for a one-of-a-kind celebration of organ donation and advocacy: National Donate Life Month.
My name is Bill Soloway. I have been a vocal organ donation advocate and transplant peer mentor since I received a life-saving heart transplant in 2015. Everything I do, I do to honor my donor and his selfless gift.
Donate Life Month is extremely special to me…and as an avid cyclist, this year’s theme is especially close to my heart…
So where does Help Hope Live come in?
By connecting transplant candidates and recipients like me to community support, hope, and the financial means to receive and sustain the gift of life, Help Hope Live’s mission is closely connected to this special awareness month.

The 2019 Touched By Transplant Contest!
What to do: Submit your Touched by Transplant story to Help Hope Live by emailing sharehope@helphopelive.org. You can tell your story with a photo, video, social media post, or your personal reflections!
Who can participate: Submissions are welcome from transplant recipients and candidates, caregivers, living donors, medical professionals, transplant family members and parents, donor families, and Help Hope Live fundraising volunteers.
What you win: If your story is one of the Touched By Transplant submissions that we select, you will:
- Become a Featured Campaign at helphopelive.org
- Have your story featured on the Blog via the Latest (check out last year’s stories here)
- See your story shared on social media
- One lucky winner will even receive a surprise gift from our new online store!
The deadline: Saturday, April 20 is the last day to submit your story.
Winners will be notified via email.
