Wayland, Natick communities support woman with paralysis

Kara Toomey

“I am deeply thankful, humbled, and know how blessed I am to have all of you in my corner. It means more than you could ever know. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t cover it.”

Diagnosed at 39 years old with “overnight paralysis,” Kara Toomey is rallying her communities to give her hope for the future through a Help Hope Live fundraising campaign.

The campaign will help her to afford the cost of driving lessons and adaptive equipment so she can return to work, socialize, and access everyday needs in her community again.
