New year, new start! We hope you are as excited as we are about the fresh fundraising opportunities that 2025 will bring.
We are so grateful to start this new year with you in our nationwide network of hope. Thank you for the effort, generosity, and positivity you’ve brought into our fundraising community over the past year!
In our latest email recap, we shared three helpful fundraising tools to kick start another year of fundraising. Next, you’ll see our team’s annual holiday tradition, check in with Hulu documentary star client Patrice Jetter, and learn something new with a Hope Talk or two.
Reset Your Fundraising Perspective
One of the best things you can do as you start your fundraising efforts in 2025 is to take a moment to reset your mindset.
With a fresh perspective, you’ll have more room to imagine, get creative, and feel excited about the possibilities of a new year of fundraising.
Find our 5 top tips for resetting your fundraising perspective in the blog linked below. Number 4 is a tip you can use right now, no matter where you are in your fundraising journey—and Number 2 might surprise you:
Write a New Year Letter Like This One
We shared a year-end donation letter blog template for you in December. If you didn’t have a chance to write your year-end letter, there is still time to write a letter now to kick off the new year!
Use our tips and template, linked below. You can use the same approach to draft a social media post or email, too:
New Fundraising Guide: Share Your Campaign on X
If you use the X platform, formerly Twitter, you’ll love our latest guide.
Learn how to add your Campaign Page link to your X bio, add the link to a post (with examples!), and grow your X community so it becomes a place of connection and mutual support for you and your followers.

Bags of Hope 2024
Our annual staff tradition is to package and deliver Bags of Hope to individuals and families in our area who are facing hospital stays during the holidays.
This is our sixth year delivering Bags of Hope!
Our 2024 tradition welcomed in a few new faces, including athletes, caring local businesses, client Ambassadors across three states, and dozens of medical professionals:
Patrice: The Movie: The Blog Post
As told in the feature documentary Patrice: The Movie, our client Patrice Jetter’s story places the fight for disability rights within the context of one dynamic woman’s life, career, and loving partnership.
Patrice’s story hits a valley as a GoFundMe campaign puts her benefits at risk—but thanks to hard work and her community’s generosity, her fundraising story has a happy ending here at Help Hope Live.
We’re thankful that Patrice was willing to share such intimate parts of her life with a filmmaker to bring her story, the disability community’s ongoing fight, and our nonprofit into the spotlight for millions of people worldwide.
Patrice also designed the cover for our 2024 holiday card—see it at the end of our blog recap, linked below.

If getting more active or boosting your mood are among your goals for the new year, you’re in luck.

Time and time again, participants in these sessions tell us that they not only help them to stay active in a supportive environment but also encourage and uplift them without fail.
