Transplant Cost Help for a Radiant Songstress: Noelle Doughty

A Help Hope Live Client Case Study with Noelle Doughty

Part of the Southwest Transplant Fund

OVERVIEW

When loved ones of Noelle Doughty learned the beloved artist and songstress urgently needed a double lung transplant, they got to work. They did diligent research and outreach to help Noelle, including reaching out to Help Hope Live to start a fundraising campaign.

THE PROBLEM

Living with a rare and progressive lung disease, Noelle’s best hope for a healthy future was a double lung transplant. As she approached the challenges ahead with hope and courage, her community wanted to ensure the major financial commitment associated with a transplant wouldn’t create emotional, mental, and physical obstacles.

THE SOLUTION/APPROACH

To prevent Noelle from having to fundraise on her own, 5 friends stepped up and worked directly with Help Hope Live to launch the campaign, become fundraising team members, and share her story in Noelle’s community.

In the first 10 days of fundraising, the campaign in Noelle’s honor raised over $14,000. In the first month, the campaign surpassed $48,000.

THE OUTCOME

On April 4, 2026, Noelle’s loved ones shared the news that she had received a successful double lung transplant. Her campaign exceeded $58,000 raised in Noelle’s honor to assist with the ongoing post-transplant expenses she will face.
