“There is much more hope of where I will be in the future.”
In June, a community came together to help Christine Morris, a 37-year-old living with a spinal cord injury. A special bi-monthly market run by Christine’s sister invites vendors to give back by donating a percentage of their proceeds to Help Hope Live in Christine’s honor.
Christine has been able to double her weekly physical therapy sessions thanks to fundraising.

For Daisy Checo, a wife and mother living with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), the decision to start fundraising with Help Hope Live wasn’t just a matter of financial support. While fundraising is critical to Daisy’s ability to meet needs related to her diagnosis, including mobility aids and medical nutrition, she also hopes to inspire other EDS fighters.
Daisy wants her campaign to show every individual and family facing EDS that they are not alone, and that it’s okay to need – and ask for – assistance.
57-year-old Felipe Rodriguez became severely ill and was diagnosed with COVID-19. Placed on a ventilator, Felipe needed a double lung transplant to survive.
In April, he received the gift of life. He will continue to fundraise with Help Hope Live for post-transplant medical and related costs.
Fundraising Tip: Instagram

Your Campaign Page link will not be clickable if you share it within an Instagram post. However, you can follow our guide to add a link to your Instagram bio – that way, you can simply say “link in bio” in your posts.
Resource Spotlight: Rent and Mortgage
Funds raised with Help Hope Live can be used to cover up to three months of mortgage payments, rent, and utilities up to a total of $2,000 per month.
Still struggling with rent or mortgage costs due to your medical needs? For mortgage and rent assistance after more than 21 days of inpatient hospitalization, apply for a grant from The Keep Swimming Foundation.
Parents of patients who are under 26 can apply for one or two months of mortgage or rental assistance for up to $2,500 per month with the MBA Opens Doors Foundation (see the guidelines here).
The B+ Foundation provides grants to the families of children under age 21 diagnosed with cancer, including assistance with mortgage or rent.
Individuals who sustained an SCI, TBI, or other mobility-limiting injury while participating in certain outdoor action sports can apply for relief for one year of rent, six months of mortgage payments, or up to one year of utility bills from The High Fives Foundation.
