Tammy’s Story
Tammy describes herself as a Christian, a dedicated wife of 38 years, and a loving mom to 2 sons as well as a 28-year veteran employee of the local school district.
14 years ago, Tammy was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, a form of leukemia. She joined the waiting list for a liver transplant in November 2024.
“This has not been easy for myself or my family, emotionally and financially,” Tammy explained, “but with my faith, I live for today and plan for tomorrow.”
To embrace a healthier future—including the hope of seeing her sons and grandchildren grow up—Tammy needs to fundraise for the out-of-pocket costs associated with the gift of new life.
Her medical team has told her to expect roughly $10,000 in initial transplant-related expenses insurance won’t cover. That’s why she turned to the trusted national medical fundraising nonprofit Help Hope Live.
Tammy’s loving community has already raised over $3,000 through the nonprofit.
Tammy’s family has deep roots in the Sanger area: eldest son Chris is a law enforcement professional who has given Tammy 3 precious granddaughters. Her son Ryan owns a metal fabrication business.
Tammy is a full-time employee of the local school district in the technology department. With a 28-year career supporting the school system, she has spent the last 18 years as a high school support specialist.
100% of the proceeds from the Stampede at the Stables will go to Help Hope Live in Tammy’s honor. Donations can also be made online at: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/24952/
