Ellie’s Story

Ellie Trask was born with a rare genetic micro-chromosome deletion called Cask

Gene Mutation. The diagnosis is so rare that it impacts just 300 people worldwide.

Now 6 years old, Ellie experiences challenges with her motor skills, life skills, and communication—she is currently a non-verbal communicator. Giving her the best hope possible for a bright, healthy future means funding specialized therapies that insurance will not cover.

That’s why Ellie’s loved ones turned to the national nonprofit Help Hope Live. The fundraising campaign in Ellie’s honor has surpassed $4,400 raised in just 2 months.

Fundraising is critical in the months leading up to a big opportunity in June: a 4-week intensive therapy at the Fralin Biomedical Neuromotor Research Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia.

Stand with Ellie and family by joining the Princess Dance Party or making a tax-deductible donation in her honor at: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/26957/

Donations to Help Hope Live are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and all funds raised will be administered by the nonprofit to cover verified medical and related expenses. Help Hope Live verifies medical and financial need for every patient.

Help Hope Live is a national nonprofit that specializes in engaging communities in secure, tax-deductible fundraising campaigns for people who need a transplant or are affected by a catastrophic injury or illness. Since 1983, campaigns organized by Help Hope Live have raised over $193 million to pay patient expenses, assisting more than 25,000 patient families. ###
