VOLUNTEER ONLINE 1 HOUR PER WEEK TO CHANGE A LIFE

Nonprofit Seeking Volunteers to Help with Social Media Outreach & More

GREENSBORO, N.C.—The national nonprofit Help Hope Live is seeking kind and creative volunteers to spend just 1 hour per week providing social media support on behalf of an important charitable cause: a medical fundraising campaign through Help Hope Live in honor of Angel Neclos Becton, a 51-year-old Greensboro stroke survivor.

How to volunteer:

The nonprofit is asking anyone interested to contact Karla Pinon, Angel’s Client Services Coordinator at Help Hope Live, for more information at [email protected] or 800-642-8399 extension 23.

Volunteers do not need to be local to Greensboro to apply. All volunteer work will be done online and remotely, and no in-person contact is needed. Volunteers will be provided with all the information, instructions, content templates, and graphics they need to make an immediate difference.

Angel’s medical diagnosis has been verified by the nonprofit. Funds raised can only be used for verified medical expenses and related costs. Donations are tax deductible for donors.

Help Hope Live is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit. Logged hours can be used for volunteer hour needs for education or workplace purposes.

What help is needed:

Because of her medical challenges, Angel needs a few compassionate and creative people to help her expand her social media reach so more people can learn about her fundraising campaign.

Here are a few ideas from Help Hope Live for volunteers:

  • Share a social media post about Angel once per week
  • Help to set up a new private Facebook Group, Instagram page, TikTok, or other online channels for Angel
  • Share updates on these channels to help connect with potential donors
  • Use your graphic design skills to create images or videos for others to share to help raise awareness
  • Come up with creative ideas to help spread the word on Angel’s behalf
  • Reach out to local businesses or schools to help get them involved in the cause
  • Plan a local fundraiser (online or in-person) with assistance from Help Hope Live

The cause:

Meet Angel Becton. This 51-year-old stroke survivor in North Carolina lives up to her name as a shining light to the people around her. Angel is paralyzed on one side and relies on a wheelchair.

After losing her Medicaid in 2025, Angel turned to the national nonprofit Help Hope Live to fundraise for medical costs insurance won’t cover that will improve her life.

The community has already raised over $1,000 towards Angel’s life-changing $10,000 goal.

Help Hope Live is a national nonprofit that specializes in engaging communities in secure, tax-deductible fundraising campaigns for people who need a transplant or are affected by a catastrophic injury or illness. Since 1983, campaigns organized by Help Hope Live have raised over $194 million to pay patient expenses, assisting more than 25,000 patient families. ###
