A graphic reads After Hope in Action: What to Do Now

Our first-ever Hope in Action day of giving for the Help Hope Live community was a big success!

On May 31, 2024, we invited our client community to participate in an exclusive 24-hour giving day. We covered the credit card fees on donations made on May 31 in honor of a client at helphopelive.org for greater impact than ever.

We’ll have updates to share with you soon about the incredible impact. But in the meantime, now that Hope in Action 2024 is over, it’s time to look ahead.

Read on for our top tips for keeping up your fundraising momentum after Hope in Action.

First, Capture Feedback

Now is the best time to capture feedback from your Hope in Action 2024 experience—while it’s still fresh.

What went really well? What would you like to improve, try, or change?

Your feedback will influence not just your plans for Hope in Action 2025 but also your strategy for GivingTuesday 2024.

Discuss your experiences with your Client Services Coordinator so we can help you plan for upcoming days of giving.

The most important thing to do after Hope in Action is to send out a message of gratitude to your supporters.

It doesn’t have to be a complicated statement: simply say “thank you” in any way that is genuine and heartfelt.

Share your thank you message on social media, via email, in text messages or messenger apps, or in a short video.

Read on for tips on what to include in your thank you message.

Tips for Thanking Supporters

Here are a few tips for crafting your thank you message or post.

Thank everyone who got involved.

Some of your supporters may not have been able to donate on May 31, but you know their support is still important and appreciated—so let them know that, too!

In your thank you message, include a shoutout to anyone who may have shared your campaign, posted a message to your Guestbook, or volunteered to help with your fundraising efforts.

Talk about how support made you feel.

How did you feel on Hope in Action day? Grateful? Proud? Overwhelmed? Energized? Hopeful?

Share a little bit of those honest emotions in your thank you message. It will help your supporters feel more connected to you and your campaign.

Share the Impact

It’s always helpful to give supporters a way to understand why fundraising is so important to your future and your quality of life.

Help others understand the impact they make by donating with some specific details that will bring your cause to life.

Try answering one of these questions as part of your thank you post:

What have you been able to do thanks to their support?

What has been the biggest obstacle you’ve overcome so far this year?

What are three things you’re fundraising for that will improve your life?

What was the last medical or related expense you had to cover out –of pocket?

What is possible in your future thanks to support and donations?

What are you looking forward to in 2024?

What does hope mean to you?
