BENEFIT CONCERT APRIL 2 TO HELP LOCAL TEEN LIVING WITH RARE ILLNESS

Come Together to Support 19-Year-Old Logan Boone and His Family

CINCINNATI, Ohio—On Saturday, April 2, the community will come together for a cause at Ivy Hills Country Club (7711 Ivy Hills Blvd, Cincinnati) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to enjoy live music, a cash bar, a silent auction, and more for a critical cause. Donations made during the Logan’s Legacy Benefit Concert will benefit the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Logan Boone, a Batavia 19-year-old who is living with the rare and fatal illness Batten disease.

Batten disease creates unique and progressive challenges for Logan and his family, including cognitive and speech issues, seizures, and vision loss: Logan currently lives with blindness. He graduated from Batavia High School in 2021 and is currently attending a day program while living with his grandmother and grandfather, who care for him fulltime, and his younger brother.

For his family, Logan’s home life revolves around maintaining his access to mobility and comfort. His family is currently unable to afford what they need to provide Logan with complete home access: he cannot safely be transported up and down stairs or in and out of his bedroom and bathroom. He requires around-the-clock care, which means his grandparents will likely need additional caregiving assistance to keep providing for his needs as his diagnosis progresses.

That’s why Logan’s family has turned to the national nonprofit Help Hope Live. The fundraiser in Logan’s honor is tax deductible for donors, medically verified, and will not jeopardize his benefits eligibility. Donations can be made at: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/19639/

The April 2 Logan’s Legacy Benefit is an opportunity for the community to connect, support the Boone family, and show they care. There is no charge for admission, but donations will be welcome throughout the evening. Highlights include live music, light refreshments, a cash bar, a silent auction that will include high-end local professional and college sports memorabilia. Contact event organizer Jessica Ellis with any questions at [email protected].
