Nonstop Hope at Abilities Expo New York Metro 2025

“We never had a break in talking with the community, which is our reason for being there.”

Learn about our engaging, action-packed, and hope-filled experiences at the Abilities Expo New York Metro 2025 with Kelly Green, our Executive Director, plus Sonny Mullen, our Director of Outreach, and Brooke Schostak, our Director of Development.

“We took over the aisle as we introduced clients to each other and caught up.”

Our Help Hope Live client community and Ambassador encounters included Rebecca Koltun, Lucas Towers, Andrew McGeady, and Josh Basile, Esq..

They were joined by Board Member Kelley Brooks Simoneaux, Esq. and former Board Member Lauren DeBruicker – not to mention so many other familiar faces, including friends and supporters from United Spinal Association and Freedom Concepts.

Our special guest star at the Help Hope Live booth was client Patrice Jetter, who came right from work in her crossing guard gear with Garry. What a treat!

“One of the best-attended Abilities Expos in the past few years.”

We were glad for big, excited crowds to witness a highlight of the weekend: an adaptive bike giveaway to our client Zachary Smith, a 6-year-old with cerebral palsy.

The bike giveaway was a full-circle moment at this Expo: we originally connected with Zach and his family at the same Abilities Expo in 2024!

As mom shared:

“Zach fell in love with the Freedom Concepts tricycle. It’s a great way for him to get exercise and play at the same time.”

The giveaway was only made possible by the generous support of our friends at the Esther and Pedro Rosenblatt Foundation.

Sonny summed up yet another hope-inspiring Abilities Expo experience:

“It was one of the best Expos yet—but I feel like we say that almost every time!”
