Flyers Alumni Celebrate 40th Anniversary

“Through its storied history, the Flyers Alumni have raised tens of millions of dollars for the community”

We are celebrating the Flyers Alumni Association’s 40th anniversary in 2024.

Founded in 1984 to raise funds for local charities and help individuals in need, the Flyers Alumni Association was originally called the Philadelphia Legends team.

Local benefit games morphed into bigger venue matches, and over the years, the team began to travel across the country and into Canada and Europe to continue their charitable efforts.

Off the ice, the Flyers Alumni Association holds an annual golf invitational and a Fantasy Camp.

The Flyers Alumni Association began partnering with Help Hope Live in 2019 on the Every Child Deserves a Bike initiative, which funds customized adaptive bikes for local kids and young adults with disabilities.

We honored the Flyers Alumni at our Live It Up! annual gala in 2023 with the Rainey Award for Volunteer of the Year.
