Lindsey’s Story

Lindsey worked as a full-time civil engineer from 2015 to 2023. Diagnosed with chronic inflammatory response syndrome or CIRS in 2015, she has been fighting hidden health battles for a decade.

CIRS has weakened her body, making Lindsey extra-susceptible to life-threatening infections. As her health has deteriorated over time, Lindsey has continued to pursue part-time work—most recently at Idlewild Amusement Park for the 2024 season.

Lindsey is a writer, poet, musician, and nature-lover. While her diagnoses have put significant challenges in her path, she remains in touch with her creativity and with the spirit of hope. “She’s determined to recover,” friends share on her fundraising page. “She advocates for herself, even when others struggle to understand.”

Many of the costs that are essential to a healthier future for Lindsey are not covered by insurance, including IV infusion therapy, specialist appointments, and deep cleaning at her home to maintain safe air quality.

That’s why her loved ones started a fundraising campaign with the trusted national nonprofit Help Hope Live. Donations can be made at: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/25267/

Donations to Help Hope Live are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and all funds raised will be administered by the nonprofit to cover verified medical and related expenses. Help Hope Live verifies medical and financial need for every patient.
