GivingTuesday is back on Tuesday, December 2, 2025!
In this toolkit, you’ll learn all about this annual giving day and find out how you can participate with your community as a Help Hope Live client or team member.

What Is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday is an annual international day of giving, designed to encourage communities to donate to nonprofits like Help Hope Live and get involved in causes that matter to them.
GivingTuesday is Help Hope Live’s single largest day of giving of the year.
On GivingTuesday, we typically receive four times more donations than on any other day!

No Credit Card Fee for Online Donations on GivingTuesday
At Help Hope Live, we provide this exclusive GivingTuesday benefit to the clients and team members who are using our platform for medical fundraising:
Between midnight ET on Tuesday, December 2 and 3 a.m. ET on Wednesday, December 3, Help Hope Live will cover the credit card fee for all donations made in honor of a client at helphopelive.org.
Our low 3% admin fee still applies, but donors have the option to cover this fee as part of their donation.
How to Participate in GivingTuesday 2025
Your biggest job leading up to GivingTuesday is to work with your Client Services Coordinator to share information with your community.
You’ll want to encourage donors by letting them know they can make a bigger impact than ever by choosing to donate and share on December 2, 2025.
As always, your Client Services Coordinator is here to help you get all the support, materials, and resources you need to make GivingTuesday a success this year.
Below, you’ll find the steps to follow to share GivingTuesday with your community.

Step 1: Contact Your Coordinator Now
Your first step is to contact your Coordinator. Email or call to start your GivingTuesday plans with us.
You can find your Coordinator’s contact information in your Campaign Dashboard after you log in.
Step 2: Request Materials Before November 17
You can request customized GivingTuesday materials from your Coordinator to make it easy to spread the word.
You must request these materials before Monday, November 17, 2025.
You can request a GivingTuesday flyer like this one:

And a customized GivingTuesday profile picture like this one for your Campaign Page or social media accounts:

Set a reminder to change back your profile pictures on December 3 when GivingTuesday ends.
Don’t want to use a real photo? You can ask your Coordinator to provide alternate materials that feature the Help Hope Live logo instead:

Step 3: Write Emails to Your Community
Not everyone in your life uses social media, so make sure everyone gets GivingTuesday details by planning an email to your community.
Here’s a sample you can personalize and send:

Hi everyone!
I am reaching out to share my sincere gratitude and give you an update on how you can get involved with a HUGE day of giving coming up on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
December 2 is GivingTuesday, and on that day, the medical fundraising nonprofit Help Hope Live will cover the credit card fee for donations made in my honor.
I want to thank you for the role you’ve already played in this fundraising campaign.
Thanks to you, we’ve been able to cover so many major medical costs over the past few months, from an emergency ambulance ride to home modifications for Edward’s wheelchair.
We still need a lot of help, and it takes a village. That’s why we want to thank you in advance for adding December 2 to your calendar and making a donation on that day or helping us to spread the word.
To make a donation, go to: [add Campaign Page link].
Your donation is tax deductible and will go a long way to improving Edward’s quality of life.
If now is not a good time to donate but you’d like to help us plan and share this fundraising opportunity, we’d love your help! Reply to this email and I can tell you how to share or get involved with us.
THANK YOU for all you’ve done to put hope and help into our lives.
Love,
Edward, Maricella, and the Testa family

Step 4: Share These Posts on Social Media

Step 5: Follow These Social Media Tips
Tip: Don’t start new social media accounts for GivingTuesday.
Instead of starting a new account to share content, commit to posting consistently on the accounts you already use.
You’ll reach more people if you stick to the accounts you already use to post actively.
Just like you’re doing with your Campaign Page, consider making some updates to your social media profiles so everyone knows what’s new in your life.
Tip: Update often, and share progress & gratitude whenever you can.
According to a 2025 study, sharing progress towards a fundraising goal and frequently sharing messages of gratitude will make your fundraising efforts more successful.
Tip: Post once per week.
Share GivingTuesday info and your customized materials from us on social media once per week.
Start sharing now! Give your community as much time as possible to spread the word with you.
Plan to share GivingTuesday reminders once or twice per week between now and December 2, 2025.
Tip: Make half of your posts about something other than GivingTuesday.
GivingTuesday shouldn’t be the only thing you post on social media between now and December.
You’ll get more engagement if you post about other topics alongside GivingTuesday. Keep variety in your content, and be sure to engage with other people’s posts, too.
Tip: Make each post unique!
Instead of re-sharing the same content or images in your GivingTuesday posts, try choosing a unique new topic to focus on every week.
We’ve got creative ideas for you in this toolkit.
Tip: Add hashtags.
Hashtags help your social media posts to be seen by people who are interested in certain topics. Add 5 hashtags to each of your GivingTuesday posts.
Make sure the hashtags are relevant to the post content.
Here are just a few #ideas:
#GivingTuesday #medicalfundraising #transplant #spinalcordinjury #lupus #mentalhealth #helphopelive #hopeis #WhyWeFundraise #forcedtofundraise
Tip: Share posts from Help Hope Live.
We share content about medical expenses, awareness days, client stories, and more on our own social media pages.
Find and share some of our content to your community understand why you’re a part of the Help Hope Live community:

Bonus: Updating Your Campaign Page
Whenever you start outreach to your community, it’s a great opportunity to refresh your Campaign Page.

The more you communicate with your community, the more invested they will feel in your fundraising campaign.
Here’s what we recommend:
- Read over your Campaign Story to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date
- Add a new profile picture (we can use your new picture for your GivingTuesday materials, too)
- Post Updates sharing milestones, successes, thoughts, and fundraising plans for the future
